  2. Wow, Owen, great post. I’m looking forward to reading several of the articles/posts you linked to. I definitely fall into the category of idealistic Christians you describe, often weighed down by feelings of guilt and disappointment. Thanks for identifying the cause of many of these emotions. It was a timely word.

  3. A first class blog. In my judgement you get the emphasis just right. You help guard against unfettered optimism that will lead to disappointment and undue cynicism that will lead to mere orthodoxy.

    We need more people expressing this biblical balance – tension – accurately.
